Ed Hartigan has been involved in new media and emerging technologies since 2001 when he co-founded OnCampus  and built it up to be the largest online publisher in the UK student market. Having taken the company from inception to profitability within 2 years, Ed helped launch the first bespoke content management systems and private social networks for the UK student market and was a regular speaker at national student events on the development of the web. Ed left OnCampus in 2008.

Ed is an adviser to brands and organisations who want to improve their business communications and marketing through the use of social technologies.

Jan 2010 – Ed founded Spearfish Labs, a communications company, with the aim of helping businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes use social technologies to communicate better, internally and with their customers. In alturistic mode, I would like to make businesses more human and less like machines…which is going to take a while!
